2 more sleeps

I'm finally getting excited!

Christmas shopping is finished, I have a matter of hours left at work, and then I'm off. YAY!! 10 days off work. I LOVE my Christmas holidays!

Christmas day with my family, and then on Boxing day, I will head off up the river to camp with my boy and his family and our friends. I can't wait. I don't much like camping, but I guess at the same time I do. There is just so much packing and unpacking to do. That bit I don't like. But, sitting around in the beautiful weather, reading a newspaper, skiing and kneeboarding all day. Life is really pretty good all around.

But, If my boy thinks I am going to eat processed meat the whole time we are away, he is sadly mistaken! We're going shopping tonight, and there will be some veges and fruit coming with us. I just can't cope with just meat in bread for days on end. No way. Nuh uh.

Surely at least some tomatos? I don't think that is asking a lot!

Yay for Christmas Holidays in the sun! I've spent a Christmas in the snow, and it just isn't the same. I like my prawns, stinking hot weather, mini-skirts and sunburn thanks very much. I mean sure, its pretty with the snow, but I think there is a special kind of beauty to Aussie Christmases. the grass is green-ish (depending on how bad your water restrictions are. ours aren't too bad at the moment), and the native grasses are blonde, and the trees are covered in leaves. Plus, I just don't think you can beat spending time in pool, preferably with a beer in one hand and chips and dip in the other!

yay for Christmas!! I'm so glad I found my Christmas spirit!

Shopping for food is pretty high on my list, because then come boxing day, I'm off up the river.

5 more sleeps!

I love Christmas time.

Christmas Carols, even the crappy versions, I eat them all up. For the record though, you can't beat Bing doing White Christmas. We don't do White Christmas in Aus, but it is still THE Christmas song for my money!

I have just recently moved, and before I even had all my clothes at my house, I had a Christmas Tree. For that matter, I had a tree before I had a house to move into! Christmas Lights on houses make me happy. I'm not picky - trashy or beautiful, they all make me smile.

Usually, I have all my presents bought a month ahead, all wrapped up and under my bed. I use ribbon, and try really hard to make them look pretty.

But this year, I just haven't gotten into it. I don't know what it is. I still don't have all my presents, I just can't get motivated, and I haven't nagged my boy to take me on a tour of all the lights around town. Maybe its because I have moved out of home, and it was my mum's influence that got me excited - she's like a junkie with Christmas! Maybe its because I don't have any Christmas Music at my house.

I don't know, but I don't like it.

First Post

I'm a lurker.

And now I guess I'm out of the closet! I've been reading about peoples lives, and I thought it was time to share myself. How much? I think I'll make that up as I go along. I will tell you I'm conscious of how easy it is to get yourself in LOTS of trouble with a blog.

I live in a small town, I do have a pink Vespa, and I love my town. Most days.

I waterski (badly) play basketball (badly) and love a fairly ordinary life.

But, maybe you'll like reading about it. Afterall, my mundane life is exciting to someone else, just like I'm hooked on the next installment of theirs.

more another day - there is Christmas shopping to be done!
